HAL Doppler - A novel therapy for the treatment of hemorrhoids

The following items are used in the HAL Doppler Ligation:

  • Modified Proctoscope with built-in ulstrasound transducer, light and a special window
  • Echo sounder
  • A strong atraumatic needle
  • Forceps
  • Scissors
  • Knot pusher
  • Xylocaine jelly
Hemorrhoidal Arterial Ligation (H.A.L.) is an office procedure for the removal of hemorrhoids. This procedure can be performed in the office using a modified proctoscope in conjunction with an Echo Sounder.
